Season Recap

Don Bosco Prep made a strong case to go wire-to-wire at #1 in the ReportIt Top 25, winning the Bergen County Jamboree and Non-Public A championships in dominating fashion. The Ironmen were led by one of the top players in the country in 6'5" Rutgers commit Dylan Harper. Harper averaged over 22ppg and showcased himself at the highest levels with 38 against nationally ranked Christopher Columbus Catholic from Florida and also in the A-North final against Saint Peter's. A week earlier, he dropped 37 on Roselle Catholic while making it look like he was playing at half speed...He was that good as a senior. While Harper and Isaiah Brown graduate from the main rotation, the return of Brady Loughlin, a 6'6" shooter, Keiner Asprilla, the top big man prospect in North Jersey, Jordan Ghee and a host of others should have Bosco primed to defend their titles after a 29-3 season.

Nick Vier managed to do the difficult job of "keeping kids home" at Ramapo and climbed the mountain behind Princeton commit Peyton Seals, Johns Hopkins bound Wyatt Eglinton Manner and 1,000 point scorer Chris Cervino. They were rewarded this year for staying in town with a 25-8 season, trip to the Bergen County Jamboree final and Group III State Championship. The trio graduates with a fantastic legacy and also leaves big shoes to fill. 6'5" three sport athlete Charlie Wingfield will shoulder the load next winter.

Joe Leicht led Wayne Valley to a Passaic County Championship and 20 win season, giving the school a photo on the wall which will live in lore for years to come. A senior heavy team led by Anthony Apicella, Omar Ali, Hudson Devine and Caden Flower, they shook off a rocky start to roll through the 2024 calendar year. Their biggest moment came in the county final, on their own floor, where they defeated Paterson Eastside 44-38 to take the trophy down the hallway.
