Colonial Conference Recap

There are three guarantees in life and one of them is Haddonfield being a buzzsaw in the Colonial Conference of South Jersey. This season was no different.

Season Recap

Death, Taxes and Haddonfield. Your three guarantees in life. Paul Wiedeman knows how to win and Haddonfield steamrolled its way to a 27-3 season and appearance in the South Jersey Group II Semifinals. They started the season on a 21 game winning streak before losing a showcase game to Central Regional, a game they played without senior star Sam Narducci. They rebounded from that loss and made it to the Camden County semifinals with Narducci back in the lineup. Fellow senior guard Phil McFillin matched Narducci shot for shot behind the arc, as the duo combined for 137 three pointers(69 for Narducci, 68 for McFillin). Forwards Patrick Ryan and Nate Rohlfig provided muscle in the post with over 400 points and rebounds between the two. Haddonfield graduates the four above but they rarely rebuild. They reload. The last time Haddonfield won less than 20 games, aside from Lockdown Year, was 2015-2016(18-10).Not a losing season...Less than 20 games. Go back to the start of the century and 20+ is the norm. That's how high the standard is.

Player Of The Year

Sam Narducci, Haddonfield

The 6'1" senior averaged 17.1 ppg with a season high of 37 against Woodbury. His all around leadership drove the bus for the ever-successful program this winter and while the graduation of four senior regulars is never easy to fill, Narducci leaves the big shoes in the scoring department. Don't cry for Haddonfield though, because the stats above tell the tale of "The Standard."
