It’s a new look for Linden under Mike Rice. The former D1 coach brings decades of high level experience to the bench and a new look roster for the Tigers. Jayden Holman came over from Arts and will be expected to be a key newcomer for the boys of Saint Georges Ave. The key returnee is 6’5” junior wing Jekhi Burnam.

Union Catholic won the county tournament last year and returns the bulk of its scoring. Senior guards AJ Altobelli and Luke Schorr join big men FK Muntari and Yaw Ansong to give Jim Reagan quite the arsenal of returnees. Toss in Union High transfer Derrick Whitaker, who had a big season last winter as a potential 5th starter, among other returnees and newcomers, and UC will expect nothing less than a county title and deep run in states.

Paul VI vs Pennington 7P at Holy Cross of Delran

Paul VI, like Union Catholic, had a fantastic season in 23-24 and will expect to be right back in the mix this winter. Tony Devlin’s charges took Dobbins from Philly to the cleaners in their opener.

Pennington is 3-3 playing a regional prep schedule against other high-academic programs. Their balanced attack is led by seniors Destine Evans, Kae Kilic and Jordan Owusu. Their program received a boost when Joshua and Jonathan Benka-Coker transferred in from Bethlehem Catholic(PA). Joshua is off to a fast start and leads the team in rebounding, averaging over 10 per game.
