It's an absolutely loaded slate across the Garden State today and fans in all regions have marquee games to look forward to on an action packed Thursday. A host of big games in North Jersey, Rutgers Prep facing the tricky trip out to the edge of the Lehigh Valley against Phillipsburg and more...Take your pick, fans!

Union County Game Of The Week Presented By Wheelie Good Pierogi

#4 Plainfield(11-1) vs #7 Union Catholic(7-2), 7P

Plainfield were dangerous at the start of the year...but the addition of NaJai Hines has turned them into the top public school in the state. The 6'10" senior center has been nothing short of unstoppable in his first handful of games. Forget double-double...NaJai is pushing 20&20. This may be controversial for some, but our team believes Hines is the best center New Jersey has seen since Karl Anthony Towns. He's that good. Micah Gordon just picked up a Rider offer and Plainfield has plenty of weapons and depth.

Union Catholic picked up a tough win over #8 Elizabeth on Tuesday and now becomes the next team to try and solve the riddle that is Baby Shaq. The one thing UC has in their favor that the other teams Plainfield has played with Hines thusfar lacked is legitimate size. Senior forwards Yaw Ansong(6'11") and FK Muntari(6'8") give the Vikings a pair of legitimate scholarship level bigs who can try to slow Hines down. While he's a guard, if need be, 6'4" junior Trevor Whitaker can spell Yaw and Farouk in the post for a bit. In the backcourt, UC will need another A+ performance from senior point guard AJ Altobelli to control the tempo of the game and keep Plainfield in check. Will we see Malik Moore guarding Micah Gordon? It would be a fantastic matchup. The key for UC tonight could lie in 6'2" senior guard Luke Schorr--If he can find space to hit a few three pointers, heck, maybe even one...It could be the difference in the game.

Be there early. It'll be a full gym.

JD Core Training North Jersey Game Of The Day

#3 Hudson Catholic(10-2) vs #9 Don Bosco Prep(7-4), 6P

The Hawks bring two D1 commits in their backcourt with Keith McKnight(Quinnipiac) and Omari Moore(Manhattan) and are very balanced...and very young outside of them. Prospects like Andrew Iduh, Elijah Colon, Noreaga James and others all have bright futures ahead of them. They've answered the bell at every turn thusfar for legendary HC Nick Maraniello.

Bosco has played one of the toughest schedules in the state and features a D1 commit of their own in 6'5" wing Brady Loughlin, who is off to Brown next year. They also feature a scholarship level guard in Jordan Ghee and several other college level players, including 6'7" big man Chris Lotito.

#13 Paul VI(8-2) vs #14 Bishop Eustace(9-1), 7P

The biggest battle in South Jersey today sees two of the top Parochial schools in the state clashing in Haddonfield. Paul VI is incredibly deep and balanced, but are led by Judah Hidalgo, while Eustace matches them with a very talented squad of their own, led by 6'6" junior Dillon Adomanis and senior guard Tommy Semiraglio.

Dickinson(9-0) vs #1 St Peter's Prep(10-2), 4:30P

Dickinson is off to its best start in years and faces its biggest game in decades this afternoon as they welcome the top ranked Marauders up the hill. Dickinson has developed a core of seniors in Markeis Isley Monroe, Tomas Monteiro, Jeremy Polanco and Bobby Greene, who have powered Sean Drennan's charges to a hot start. Isley-Monroe and sophomore Boubacar Diop will have to try to contain 7'0" big man Keiner Asprilla while the others will be tasked with handling St Peter's guard depth.

It's Dickinson's moment of truth.

South Plainfield(9-2) vs Sayreville(10-2), 7P

The best game in the GMC this evening also has a 1,000pt watch as Sayreville junior guard Sam Jones is within striking distance. He needs just under 30. A big game from him tonight and he's there. If it doesn't happen tonight, expect him to cross it on Saturday at home with a 1P tip vs North Brunswick. This titlt could decide the divisional title.

Newark East Side(6-4) vs Newark Collegiate(10-1), 4P

Scotch Plains(7-3) vs Oratory(7-2), 5:30P

RFH(7-2) vs RBR(10-1), 6:45P
