Christmas is right around the corner in the Garden State and today is the final day of basketball prior to the craziness that becomes cooking seven fishes, frying pierogi, ensuring roasts are cooked the perfect medium rare, traveling to Old Nieghborhoods for midnight mass and most importantly, that the kids are tucked in bed, as Saint Nicholas will soon be there.
That said, we've got a slate of action that could qualify as the "Feast Of The Seven Basketball Games"
JD Core Training North Jersey Game Of The Day
Saint Peter’s Prep vs Saint Raymond’s(NYC), 4:30

Fresh off a massive victory over nationally ranked Roman Catholic of Philadelphia, the Marauders continue their hard-hitting set of challenges as they welcome New York Catholic League power Saint Raymond’s from the Bronx to downtown Jersey City for their final pre-Christmas vacation contest. The addition of 7’0” big man Keiner Asprilla has been a massive addition for the Marauders in the post.
Saint Ray’s is 5-2, having split a pair of out-of-state showcase tournaments and enters 3-0 in the NYC Catholic League.
Gill Saint Bernards vs Seton Hall Prep, 12:30
Gill returned just about everybody from last season and has started off strong out the gate, including a marquee victory over Saint Benedict’s in their last outing. Their scoring is incredibly balanced and that makes them a very difficult matchup.
SHP is 4-0 under new coach Sterling Gibbs. After wrestling past Hightstown, they’ve had three dominant wins in a row. They’re led by Anthony Gonzalez, a Union City transfer, along with seniors Dylan Guzzardo and Primo Delgado.
Saint Rose vs Rutgers Prep, 3:30
The Purple Roses are back to full strength with junior guard Jayden Hodge back in the lineup after missing the Paramus Catholic game and shaking off the ring rust vs Manasquan. He just picked up a Georgetown offer.
Rutgers Prep is one of the most talented underclassmen laden teams in the state, with sophomores Jacob Canton, Andrew Kretkowski and Rocco Loomis joined by freshman William Brunson in the lineup. Junior Nick Nsenkyire and senior Myles Parker are the only upperclassmen in the rotation right now.
